Last month I had the pleasure of spending a week out in Vegas for a work conference. The conference was definitely worthwhile, and I can’t imagine a better setting for such an event. Vegas really impressed me, in part because I had such low expectations, but more so because it is so visually stimulating. It’s like Disney World for adults. I enjoyed walking whenever possible instead of taking the shuttle buses. On my last day, I logged about 10 miles (according to my pedometer) walking around and shopping. Pretty exhausting, but well worth it! Here are some highlights. Keep in mind that I staying in about a 1.25 mile stretch of the Strip the whole time.
- Eating crepes for breakfast at Paris.
- Vendor party at the Hyde at the Bellagio overlooking the fountains. Apparently that’s not a venue I would typically find myself at.
- Wandering around the Wynn. Just beautiful decor!
- Getting lost in the shops at the Palazzo and the Venetian while on break at the conference.
- Walking the Strip at night.
- Not suffering a single hangover! I can thank the baby for that. Vegas was still a blast!
