- Derby season brings with it some extra fun at day care. One event is the diaper derby, and the teachers paint onesies as racing silks for the kids, complete with their horse name. Hailey’s onesie had the words “Chomp Chomp” on it. Turns out the biting habit is still in full force.
- Hailey, loves shoes more and more it seems. She loves to take them out of her shoe rack and then put them back.
- She is getting bigger. I guess that’s obvious. She can simply sit down in her rocking chair. It used to be such a production to crawl up there and scootch around. Now it’s no big deal.
- Hailey likes watching action on the television. Hockey, basketball, Dancing with the Stars, and horse racing are her faves.
- Favorite foods are meatballs, sweet potatoes, Goldfish, graham crackers, bananas, peas, corn, and carrots.
- She is saying more and more words, including some actual communication. water, milk, poo poo (and it seems she knows what poo poo is, at least ever since I let her run around naked for 5 minutes and she pooped in the corner). On many days when I pick Hailey up from day care, instead of shouting “Mama!” she states, “Dada, Bobo, wuff wuff, apple.”
- Our favorite animal sound/action of Hailey’s is the fish. She puckers up her lips and puts her hands together in a swimming motion. Gorilla is also hilarious.
- Hailey is really good at dining out, which is probably because she gets a lot of practice. We really need to cook more.
