Dan got to post hist new year resolutions, so I will do the same.
#1 – Do not spend more than 2 weekends a month out of town. 2011 was a whirlwind and I was exhausted by all the fun. Here are some out-of-town highlights:
- Erika Lotz baby shower and Columbus visit
- Lucy’s bachelorette party in Lexington
- Mammoth Cave anniversary trip
- Hart wedding
- Titus wedding
- Keely Lotz baptism
- Portland OR visit with Chelsea, Jason, and the SWE girls\
- Short wedding/formal keg party
- Up North with the Kratohwi’ls
- Chicago girls weekend with the Wisconsin crew
- Stendel wedding
- Purdue tailgating
- Western Caribbean cruise with the Wilsons
- Thanksgiving and birthday bash with the Kratohwil’s
- Purdue basketball in Cinci
- Christmas with the Harts
- Looking forward to just as much excitement in the new year with more of it centered in Louisville.
This does not even include all of the in-town fun. Whew! What a year!
#2 – Get healthy by boozing less and running more. Too many hangovers were had in 2011 as I enjoyed my last year in my 20s and attempted to get most of the craziness out of my system. I have been trying to prepare myself to settle down a bit in 2012 and get used to thoughts of maybe starting a family. So I prepared a pretty well-rounded mini-marathon training plan. Not sure if I can run the whole thing, but I’d like to run/walk it to ease up on my knees a bit but still have a focused fitness goal. With serious training comes more healthy eating and hydrating.
