Thank you to all my loved ones for an outstanding baby shower! Boy did we get spoiled! Not only did we get to outfit our nursery and home with tons of baby stuff, but I got to see so many friends and family members at one delightful “picnic.” It was such a treat. We are truly blessed to have so many loved ones in our life.
Now we have all of our baby things piled up in the nursery and we are slowly making progress with thank you’s and finding a place for everything. Let me tell you, all you new moms who said everything will feel much more real after the shower were absolutely right. There is no mistaking it–we are not only having a baby but then we will have this child in our house under our care for years and years. Parents. Wowser.
I said to Dan this morning, “What are we going to do with a baby?” He answered confidently, “I don’t know.” And that was that. We know we’ll figure it out and that we will have plenty of people for support when we need a little help.
